Along 1000 Upper Changi Road North, a small cafe lies on one side of the road.

Welcome To The Bark Cafe!

The Bark Cafe is this small outdoor cafe, surrounded by a combination of fresh air, good beer and relaxation.

Walking into The Bark Cafe makes you feel comfortable as it goes with a high ceiling, wooden outlook and the countryside sort of theme. It has a really nice ambience with greenery all around and it really serves as a ideal dining place if you are looking for somewhere quiet to celebrate a special occasion. Take in a deep breath and your lungs will be filled with fresh air tinged with the light and refreshing aroma of the beautiful greenery surrounding you. Customers can also relax by having a game at the pool table or catching live soccer matches on the television.

Bark Cafe has not only western food but several local delights too! They have Burgers, Pastas and Char-Grilled Dishes. They have several local dishes like Yang Chow Fried Rice ($11.90) and Sambal Nasi Goreng ($11.90).

I ordered a Crayfish Hor Fun($12.90) while my dinner accompanian ordered a Chilean Cod Fish ($19.90) . I found the Crayfish Hor Fun really quite good! The Crayfish, Prawns and Seafood were really fresh and the gravy that soaked the noodles was really fragrant and just getting a whiff of the aromatic appearance of the food would be able to whet your appetite and set your stomach's growling.

The dish my friend ordered, the Chilean Cod Fish, was really appetizing too! Although the sauce of the dish was a bit too strong at first, i realised that the taste really does grow on you, and soon i was helping myself to the fish that my friend ordered! Much to her displeasure though. :x

We also ordered one of their speciality dishes, Chicken Wings. It set us back $10.90 for half a dozen of golden fried cripsy chicken wings.

We ordered this drink, Red Plum Soda and Green Apple Soda. It was about $5 each and it was quite refreshing.. And sweet. Very sweet. But overall it was an enjoyable dinner with amazingly good food. (:
I recommend this place to anyone who wishes to celebrate a special occasion in a nice, quiet and relaxed environment with good food. The meal costed us about $57 for 2 pax. It is a little pricey but we were hungry and decided to make full use of the outing to The Bark Cafe and we left the place as very full teenagers!

Just the other day, i got an invitation to join 2 of my good friends at Vines On Nine @ Siglap

It's located at siglap, just beside starbucks in the farmost corner in the row of shows there.
It's a cafe bar supplemented with amazing tasting food.

Generally, the place from the outside looks pretty stuffy, hot and pretty much uncomfortable, however, the real surprise takes you off your feet once you enter. You'll realise that actually, it gives you a very cosy feeling, plus it isnt that hot actually!

Below is a picture of the outlook of the restaurant

The ambience of the cafe's great!
They have like this combination of designs and colours inside the cafe and they have good ventilation as well so it does not seem as hot it may look to be. They have a open kitchen area which allows you to see your food being made and boy oh boy does your appetite start to whet.

They have quite the variety for their food menu and just descriptions alone will set your tummy growling and it will definitely put you on the impluse mode to just order everything on the menu! You are definitely spoilt for choice!

They have Alio Olio ( $15.50), Beef Pie ($8), Grilled Chorizo ( $12.50), Lasagne ($15) and Carnivore Platter ($23).

The Alio Olio comes with grilled chorizo, olive oil, sauted mushroom, parmessan, chili and garlic.
Grilled Chorizos are these awesome pork sausages. I personally enjoyed this dish very much!
Carnivoire Platter comes with Procuito, Salami, Chorizo and Smoked Duck. Procuito, Salami and Chorizos are all pork prepared in 3 different ways.

The Smoked Duck on the Carnivore Platter is a fine treat to your tongues! However, it is an off the menu item, meaning that you have to ask them for it and they'll make it for you. It costs $12.50. It's a little expensive but it will be definitely worth the dollar.

The Smoked Duck dish comes with bread with olive oil dripped across the surface. It was an amazing dish. I've never thought duck could ever taste so good! This would be a must try dish for every one that goes there for sure!

Although the cost of the food is on the pricey side, i assure you that the food is definitely worth the dollar.

It could come up to about $45-55 per 2 pax but it would leave you a happy diner.

Looking for an ideal place for date? Somewhere romantic? Away from the busy sight of the city maybe? Or perhaps just somewhere quiet with lush greenery and good food?

Soprano Restaurant at Portsdown road is here!

With its quiet yet alluring environment, its the perfect setting to celebrate your anniversaries, a friend's birthday or just a simple dinner date.

Soprano Restaurant is a restaurant serving italian cuisine. First on the list, they have starters to whet your appetite, these range from complimentary toasts to clam soup, raw ham with parmesan cheese and raw beef topped with many different kinds of spices and herbs. Oh, and we aren't even getting to the whole list yet!

Next up, you are literally spoilt for choice at the different kinds of pastas they have there, they have about 4-7 different kinds of pastas with more than 8 different kinds of bases. They have tomato bases, cheese bases and seafood bases just to state the least.

And what comes after a good main course? DESSERT for sure! Soprano Restaurant serve an excellent variety of sweets, i personally have tried some of them and i recommend, with many people agreeing with me, that their "tiramisus" and "profiteroles" are definitely what you need after a nice meal. For those who dont know what profieroles are, they are stuffed with milk chocolate mousse drenched in chilled liquid white chocolate.

This is how Soprano looks!

Some starters and main courses!

The cost of each starter is about $7. While each main course comes to about $12-18. Inclusive of dessert, it could come up to about roughly $32-$40 for 2 pax.

Hurry! Celebrate your weekend by having dinner there! (:
